This movie is like a cheap version of the movie Scream with the tv show Glee mesh together = Shitty as fuck!!

Jerome Sable here, writer-director of STAGE FRIGHT. For those of you who may be interested in downloading our bizarre little indie movie: I'm excited to share the movie with you, and I'm glad there are people out there interested to see this film, which so many people worked hard on.
I have mixed feelings about pirating, because if you were someone who's really stoked to see this film but, let's say, just so happen to live in an impoverished Botswana village and can't afford to pay for it -- well, I want you to see it!
If, on the other hand, you can afford to pay for the movie, I encourage you to do so. It took us years to secure the funding for the film, and pirating hurts the success of the movie, and ultimately our ability to fund our next project.
So to recap, unless you are:
- in a third-world country and have to choose between this movie and your next meal, or
- are a real Somali pirate, or
- simply believe in "doing the wrong thing" for reasons you would rather not disclose, or
- have a lifelong vendetta against me because of some offhanded comment I accidentally made in middle school,
...then please consider purchasing the movie from iTunes, YouTube, or On-Demand. Thanks and enjoy STAGE FRIGHT!

Hey jerome you are a typcial hollywood douchebag there are plenty of poor people right here in the states, Where spending money on movies is a luxury they can not afford.

Don't be a dick... He didn't say that people who live in the US aren't poor (The third world country is an example). He says at the end if you really can't afford it i.e. choosing between this and your next meal.
If you really can't pay for it then he's saying fine, however if you do have $10 spare or however much you buy it for then he's encouraging you to buy the movie, as support...
I don't see many "hollywood doucebags" coming on there torrents saying what he said and it's actually nice to see someone have this view on it.
It was a fun movie anyway, for a indie film it was very well made and I shall be supporting this and future projects of the director :D.

Mattthegreat2008, apparently you can not read he said if you live in a third world country and you have to choose between this movie and your next meal then that's ok. Most people wouldn't use an example of living in a third world country as a prerequisite for being poor unless they are a republican doucebag, or at least have the same views on haves and have nots.
By the way mattthegreat2008 the majority of production company execs. said in interviews that they do not mind people downloading their movies because it has no real effect on the boxoffice results, and chose wisely not to put their foot in their mouth by defining what is poor. did you notice that i was able to disagree with you without saying you are being a dick, profanity the last vestige of the small minded.
I dislike coming onto some of these and find pages of comments with two people arguing so I'll try to keep this short and maybe me first comment, I came across a bit douchey.
Apologize for calling you a dick, although tbh calling the director a douchebag because he's coming onto a torrent site to offer his movie for people who can't afford, is a bit 'dickish'. Granted I see where you're coming from but still, it was something he didn't need to do...

I'll wait until I've seen it before passing judgment, but I'd just like to say that, while I may not live in a backwater village in Somalia, I am too poor to be spending money on movies that are barely good enough to justify my time watching them. (Which most indie B horrors are)
